We would like to introduce the three-female vocal unit, "Primavera".

What kind of song is "Light of Prayers" which Primavera will challenge to sing in English?

This is a song which embeds females' wishes to pray for peace. Although there are differences in nationality, cultures and ways of thinking, females' wishes in the world are in common. That is the wish not to make their beloved ones go to battlefields. When females around the world will get to recognize their common wishes, they must be able to take their hands over the differences. We are singing this song wishing it to be realized.

What did you think of when you were to sing this song?

Until I got to know this song, I had not been conscious of "thoughts of females in common". Thus this song gave me big impact, so that I would really like to sing this song. Thanks to this song, I have recognized that we could change the world by taking our hands under the common wish of each of us as one female. We would like to put this recognition into practice. I feel so grateful from my heart as to know this song.

Please give us your impression singing this song so far in overseas.

I was impressed with the fact that music can be accepted by people over the differences of language and cultures. In the Disabled Support Conference in Georgia, we sang a song called "On a Beautiful Planet". Then men and women on the wheelchairs started dancing to the song. Also in New York, when we sang a song "Light of Prayers" in Japanese language, not a few audiences there mentioned they were moved without reading the English subtitle. So we would like to convey our message of love and peace to all the people in the world through our songs. We are now practicing a song "Light of Prayers" in English language, and would sing it in the Yokohama and New York Performances in September.

We are looking forward to seeing you in the future.

Message from the IAPG Founder, Noriko Inamori

We women have been leaving the matter of peace to the men too much, haven't we? Most of women have given it up for a long time considering that it is a wasted effort to get involved with it except some special women.

But, I think it is not good for us, ordinary women, to look away from it. Now, shall we join hands together in order to protect our planet Earth?
