Inamori and IAPG visited NY to appeal the art performances like the drama, songs or dances for love and peace.
This event was organized mainly by Friends of the UN but also by World Peace Prayer Society(WPPS) and the UN Environment Program. And it was supported by New York Metropolitan Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolence (NYMLK), UN Permanent Mission of Japan, Mayors for Peace, Kobe International Harmony Eyes Association, too.
On 21st Sep, at the event of the Church of the Holy Family, we had introduction speeches from Mr.Voza Rivers ( CEO of Voza Enterntainment Group), Ambassador Anwarul Chowdhury (The UN Culture of Peace ) and Mr. Cliff Frasier(NYMLK). The message from Mr. Yoshihiko Noda (Japanese Prime Minister) which was read by Ambassador Kodama of UN Permanent Mission of Japan. And the introduction of Noriko Inamori and her message for love and peace followed. Next to the African Drum Team's performance, IAPG's performances were showed by theatrical group, singers, dancers, and Japanese drum players.
On 22nd Sep, the second performance was held at the Borough of Manhattan Community College Tribeca Performing Arts Center with her message and various shows by IAPG. The main performance was two dramas, "Reunited" and "Prayer of Maria" which perform songs, dances and Japanese drum plays among them.
On 23rd Sep, unofficial but as a private event, IAPG had spent friendly time with the IMPACT REPERTORY THEATER members at Dwyer Cultural Center in Harlem.
