IAPG "3.11Memorial Candle Night"

On Saturday, March 12 at 19:00, IAPG held "the 3.11 Memorial Candle Night" at "Tera Cafe Daikanyama" in Tokyo.

On the day of the performance, many people including of course not only Buddhist priests but also Fathers of the Chthonic, Protestant pastors, and Muslim leaders took part in the event.

Our wish is that we should not memorize that day only as the sad and painful day. Rather we would like to convey the stupidity of disputes now happening in the world, through the precious figures and behaviors as human beings the victims showed all of us in the world on that day, which they tried to save other victims without considering their own difficult situation, which they tried to live strongly with helping and encouraging each other in that hardship, and through the will and mind of those who rushed to the disaster sites not only from in Japan but from worldwide abroad to support and rescue the suffered people overcoming the differences of nations, human races and political situations. Also we would like to convey that those figures are exactly what all the Gods of any religion desire originally.

The religious people who came to the candle night shed tears to our songs and dances which such thought of us was put, and they uniformly told the same thought of us. We believe the thought of Pope Francis might have the same thought with ours.

In order not to waste the preciousness of the lives of people who passed away in the 3.11, we believe that we, living now, have a responsibility to make this world a better and greater place and to pass it over to our children.

Please let me ask you to join us with putting your fire to the candle service of love and peace.
